There are nearly 18,000 GSA MAS prime contracts with reported FY 2008 sales of $36.6 billion. Each year, GSA’s Industrial Operations Group performs a formal review of the contract management systems of many MAS contractors. For larger MAS contractors, the contract systems review has become an annual event. Responsible MAS contractors must take reasonable steps to prepare for a contract systems review; internal controls and procedures can help them avoid costly mistakes and penalties, as well as unwanted publicity.

The webinar is designed to help MAS contractors to prepare for an uneventful and therefore successful contract systems review. The webinar will provide an overview of GSA’s contract systems review with a "checklist" of practical steps that a company should take to detect and avoid the most common mistakes identified during these reviews. Specific issues will include:

  • Contractor "Report Card"
  • Price Reductions Clause Compliance System
  • Trade Agreements Act Compliance System
  • Unapproved Item Sales
  • Review of Prices Charged to MAS Customers
  • Employee Qualifications
  • Industrial Funding Fee payments

Bill Shook, Kelley Doran and Matt Koehl will present at this complimentary webcast. Bill Shook is co-author of Government Contract Law 2 ed. and has over 30 years of government contracts experience, including over 20 years as the Chair of the Government Contracts Group at Preston Gates (now K&L Gates).
